Today was a very encouraging day for Shawn. It was his first full day at Craig Hospital. We are so blessed that Shawn is receiving his sub-acute care at this amazing facility. We met Michael Fordyce, the President of the hospital today. He along with Dr. Alan Weintraub, the Medical Director of the TBI program provide the excellent leadership for a great staff of medical professions. We truly are blessed to be in such a caring place. They have the expertise & the experience to make the rehabilitation process the best it can possibly be. The various therapists are challenging Shawn to work hard, but in such a supportive & kind way. We are so thankful that today Shawn had his trach capped off & he is breathing on his own. This is a major step forward. Shawn also today chewed ice chips & was able to swallow it. We are so very thankful to the Lord for Shawn’s progress today as well as all the previous days. Your prayers are accomplishing much. Thank you.
