Family & Friends, we are very grateful & thankful for all of your prayers. Shawn continues to improve daily (thank the Lord), sometimes his progress sounds or seems small-but’s it’s major to Shawn & to us. It’s a small recovery step at a time & all of these small steps add up to major improvement. Shawn has most recently begun to respond verbally. This is extremely important. His attitude continues to be upbeat & happy. His responses are most often well thought out & appropriate for what’s being discussed. His cleverness shows itself often. His left arm & leg have been most active for over a month now, but his right arm & leg are beginning to make progress. He is eating extremely well (3 full meals a day), but he’s not yet able to feed himself. We have a family meeting on Tuesday afternoon, which will be our 70th day in a hospital (5 weeks here at Denver’s Craig Hospital). This medical staff meeting (which will include all of Shawn’s doctors, nurses, & therapists) will be an update on Shawn’s progress. Please keep praying…asking God to continue to heal Shawn. He is making progress (Praise be to God), but many, many more prayers are needed. Thanks again & God bless you.
