HOPE FOR TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY

The videos below provide insight into the realities of brain injury on families, and the support needed for the challenges ahead.

Family & Advocates

The Malone family at Craig Hospital

The first video by pastor Bill Johnson gives hope for miracles.  Our family fully believes in miracles as you saw in The Shawn Miracle. We understand that not everyone experiences a miracle in the same way Shawn did.  There are examples in scripture where people were healed instantly, but often we find that God heals through a process.

Why are some people healed immediately, some healed over time and some are not healed?   Some go through a long rehabilitation process and are healed years later.  Some are healed through prayer, some through medicine, or a combination of both….  We don’t fully understand God’s process, his method or timing, but we should never base our faith on what’s happened or not happened to others, we should only base our faith on the Word of God.

Shannon’s Verses of Hope

Hebrews 4:16

Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Luke 18:1-8

Now He was telling them a parable to show that at all times they ought to pray and not to lose heart, saying, “In a certain city there was a judge who did not fear God and did not respect man.  “There was a widow in that city, and she kept coming to him, saying, ‘Give me legal protection from my opponent.’  “For a while he was unwilling; but afterward he said to himself, ‘Even though I do not fear God nor respect man, yet because this widow bothers me, I will give her legal protection, otherwise by continually coming she will wear me out.'”  And the Lord said, “Hear what the unrighteous judge said; now, will not God bring about justice for His elect who cry to Him day and night, and will He delay long over them?  “I tell you that He will bring about justice for them quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth?”

Isaiah 25:1

O LORD, You are my God; I will exalt You, I will give thanks to Your name; For You have worked wonders, Plans formed long ago, with perfect faithfulness.

Though youths grow weary and tired, and vigorous young men stumble badly, yet those who wait for the LORD will gain new strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary.

Exodus 14:13-14
